Our water sector client is seeking two NEC Supervisors to join their Havant Thicket Reservoir project. Our client has embarked on a £123m project to build a reservoir at Havant Thicket. This environmentally led project will safeguard future water supplies and provide a place of natural beauty for the community to enjoy. The reservoir will provide wetland habitats, paths for walking, cycling, running and horse-riding, and a visitors' centre providing a café and educational resources for schools. One will focus on the reservoir contract, the other on the pipeline contracts, with some flexibility in providing support across the programme as a whole based out of Havant. The successful candidate will need to uphold our clients' values of excellence, integrity and respect. Main responsibilities are: Ensure that the project is delivered in accordance with the technical specification Develop a full understanding of the project scope, accessing the project common data environment to obtain construction details and other information necessary to perform the role Provide guidance in the development of testing and inspect plans needed to comply with the Works Information, quality standards and applicable construction legislation Monitor site activity through regular site visits and inspections to confirm work is carried out in accordance with the works information Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, conditions and resources Obtain, review and monitor compliance with quality procedures including inspection and test plans, as built records and test results Manage the defects process, seeking to proactively identify problems and prevent them from progressing into defects Witness of testing and commissioning activity Coordinate third party design and construction assurance input into site inspections, sample and benchmark reviews and defect resolution Complete a detailed weekly and monthly site reports, documenting the sequence of works with supporting site photographs and recordsSkills Strong communication skills with the ability to build excellent relationships with the client and contractor teams Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrable technical review / assurance ability Working knowledge of NEC4 construction contract Working knowledge of health and safety requirements and CDM Excel/Powerpoint/Word/Teams Familiarity with reviewing design information in a Common Data EnvironmentQualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related field of study Experience of site supervision of infrastructure projects within the UK. Water industry street works or major earthworks experience would be an advantage Experience in carrying out the duties of the NEC Supervisor Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme, or Site Management Safety Training Scheme training NEC contracts experience Member of a relevant professional body such as ICE, preferably a Chartered Engineer Full driving licence (all applicants will be required to undertake our driver assessment)Benefits Competitive salary based on experience - contract submissions will be considered Company pension Car allowance 27 days holiday plus bank holiday - rising by 1 day for each year of service up to 5 days Flexible working may be considered
