OUR CLIENT ARE A UNIQUE ORGANISATION, OFFERING A 3PL WAREHOUSE AND LOGISTICS SOLUTION, ON AN EXCLUSIVE BASIS FOR A PROMINENT RETAILER BASED IN GREATER MANCHESTER.

WE SERVICE OUR CLIENT'S GLOBAL GROWTH STRATEGY DELIVERING INTO 28 COUNTRIES. WE OPERATE FROM THREE UK OFFICE AND WAREHOUSE FACILITIES WITHIN THE UK.

OVERVIEW:

AS THE OPERATIONS MANAGER WILL MANAGE THE OVERALL OPERATIONS OF THE LOCATION, BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EFFECTIVE AND SUCCESSFUL MANAGEMENT OF LABOUR, PRODUCTIVITY, QUALITY CONTROL, AND SAFETY MEASURES AS ESTABLISHED AND SET.

THEY WILL ENSURE SAFE AND EFFICIENT OPERATIONS AND SERVE AS A COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE ON REGULATORY ISSUES. ENHANCE THE OPERATIONAL PROCEDURE, SYSTEMS, MANAGEMENT, BUSINESS PROCESSES, ENHANCED MANAGEMENT REPORTING, AND LOOK

FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPAND SYSTEMS. CARRY OUT SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH COMPANY'S POLICIES.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE RECRUITMENT, TRAINING NEW AND EXISTING EMPLOYEES, PLANNING, ASSIGNING AND DIRECTING WORK, DISCUSSING WITH EMPLOYEES' PERFORMANCE APPRAISALS, ADDRESSING EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE AND CORRECTIVE ACTION PLANS.

THE OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT ROLE REQUIRES EXTENSIVE OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE AND JUDGMENT TO PLAN AND ACCOMPLISH GOALS AND KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS. LEAD AND DIRECT THE WORK OF OTHERS. A WIDE DEGREE OF CREATIVITY AND LATITUDE IS EXPECTED.

DUTIES:

PROVIDE ON SITE LEADERSHIP, AT THE SAME TIME PROMOTING A CULTURE THAT ENCOURAGES QUALITY PERFORMANCE

o DEVELOP, IMPLEMENT AND REVIEW OPERATIONAL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

o ENSURE ALL LEGAL AND REGULATORY DOCUMENTS ARE FILED AND COMPLIANT

o DEVELOP SYSTEMS BY DETERMINING PRODUCT HANDLING AND STORAGE REQUIREMENTS, DEVELOP PROCESSES FOR RECEIVING PRODUCT, EQUIPMENT UTILISATION, INVENTORY MANAGEMENT AND SHIPPING

o ANALYSE AND IMPROVE ORGANISATIONAL PROCESS AND WORKFLOW, EMPLOYEE AND SPACE REQUIREMENTS, EQUIPMENT LAYOUT AND IMPLEMENT CHANGES

o MAINTAIN A SAFE AND HEALTHY WORK ENVIRONMENT BY ESTABLISHING, FOLLOWING AND ENFORCING STANDARDS & PROCEDURES

o RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL DEPT SUPERVISORS AND OPERATIVES FEEDACK AND REVIEWS

o SERVE AS PRIMARY POINT OF CONTACT AROUND ISSUES RELATING TO QUALITY

o WORK WITH SENIOR STAKEHOLDERS
